How is EFPM different from a Ph.D.?
While equivalent to a Ph.D., EFPM focuses on applied business research and is offered by specialized business schools, unlike university-based Ph.D. programs.
Who should apply?
Senior professionals, entrepreneurs, academicians, and consultants looking to advance their research expertise while remaining in their professional roles.
What is the duration and structure of the program?
A four-year, part-time program with coursework in the first year (four week-long residencies), followed by research milestones, assessments, and thesis submission.
What is the selection process?
Applicants must submit an application form, CV, a 3000-word research proposal, a motivation letter, and a research aptitude test score, followed by an interview.
Is there an entrance exam?
Yes. Applicants need a valid score from:
- JRF/NET (UGC or CSIR)
- CAT/GMAT/XAT/CMAT/ATMA
- FIIB’s Research Aptitude Test (RAT)
How flexible is the program?
Designed for executives, with weekend/evening workshops and remote research work to balance academic and professional commitments.
